Creation of Global Sites

In 2005, USP established an office in Basel, Switzerland. The office was created to help build collaborative relationships and provide training programs on USP standards outside of the United States. Over the next several years, USP opened three new international state-of-the-art laboratories and office sites: Hyderabad, India (2006); Shanghai, China (2007); and São Paulo, Brazil (2008). In addition to cultivating strong relationships, the full-service sites were created to support USP's collaborative laboratory testing efforts, provide technical assistance, and offer training and education opportunities in their respective regions.
