This hands-on laboratory training will emphasize activities for proper qualification of a USP dissolution apparatus 1 and/or apparatus 2. The attention will be on evaluating the different apparatus operational parameters as a potential source of variability of dissolution results. This course will provide information about best practices for conducting the Performance Verification Test (PVT) and interpretation of the results obtained.
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Understand the importance of apparatus suitability and PVT knowledge to set up and qualify a dissolution apparatus (focus on apparatus 2)
- Understand the sources of variability that come from the dissolution apparatus performance, and the best practices for dissolution apparatus qualification
