Please join USP and the International Probiotics Association (IPA) at their joint, one day regulatory and scientific workshop on Probiotics.
Probiotics have particular manufacturing processes, storage and stability needs, and analytical requirements as a few areas of concern. Careful considerations must be taken when it comes to define specific practices and approaches. Probiotics are in a unique position among the other food and dietary supplement categories when creating definitions for industrial practices.
Hence the workshop presents an excellent opportunity in opening dialogue and possible collaborations in looking at how these friendly microorganisms can be considered within dietary supplements and food regulations.
This one day workshop will concentrate on exchange and discussion around suggested scientific and regulatory approaches for probiotics to address the unique characteristics of this class of dietary supplements.
