Alessandro joined USP in 2019 as Senior Director/General Manager for USP in EMEA. In this role, he oversees the strategic customer engagement, the scientific affairs and the external affairs functions of the regional organization. His primary role is to enhance USP’s footprint and to foster USP collaborations with a variety of stakeholders across Europe, Central Asia, Middle East and Africa. Landscaping and anticipating the development of the region to better serve the needs of the key stakeholders surrounding quality of medicines is a focal responsibility in this role.
Alessandro’s experience includes more than 25 years of leadership roles in pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical and medical device industries. He served in management positions in both multinational companies like Baxter, AMGEN, General Electrics and in family-owned companies. His passion for science and operational focus brought him to serve in management roles in manufacturing, quality assurance, regulatory & government affairs, commercial roles and general management roles overseeing regional responsibility in Europe, Middle East, Asia and Africa.
