  • Developed and implemented a free, nationwide program for veterans to safely dispose of unused/unneeded medication
    • Served as the VHA representative to the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) workgroup on development of the regulations to implement the Secure and Responsible Drug Disposal Act o Authored VA national policy
    • Responded to Congressional and White House inquiries and conducted executive briefings
    • “Providing Veterans Safe and Responsible Options for Medication Disposal” selected for inclusion in the VA Under Secretary for Health's book "Best Care Everywhere"
  • Co-author and presenter of “Creating Healthy Communities through Strategic Partnerships in Primary Care”, a Canada-U.S. dialogue on best practices in public health
    • Served on a business process re-engineering team at the VA in Erie, PA resulting in the formation of primary care interdisciplinary clinic teams to include pharmacists, social workers and dieticians
  • Lead for VA Drug Diversion Prevention program, providing education, site visits and implementation of national policy
