Expanding Global Alliances

Increasing collaborative efforts to improve public health around the world, USP has continued to build and strengthen relationships with international regulatory authorities and pharmacopeias. As of 2012, USP has signed nearly 30 collaborative agreements that include MOUs and Letters of Agreement, that enable adoption and adaptation of USP's text by other pharmacopeias, scientific exchange programs, education and training programs, joint scientific meetings, and much more. Following the adoption of an MOU in 2008, USP began working with the Chinese Pharmacopoeia Commission on a Chinese translation of the USP–NF to be released in 2013. In addition, USP is working with the National Institute of Nutrition and Food Safety on a translation of the Food Chemicals Codex (FCC) into Chinese, which will be the first non-English version of the FCC.
